What a great weekend! CaliSlim, Rehab and I traveled to the great state of Kentucky for Dark&Lovely’s wedding. It was a quick trip to Louisville, but we had a great time. I had never been to Louisville, and I didn’t think I would be all that impressed, but I have to tell you I really liked it. I could even see going back for a quick (and budget friendly) getaway. There seemed to be so much to do and the city couldn’t be easier for driving.
After we checked into the hotel, we headed out for lunch. I had one thing on my mind and one thing only, and that was Big Boy. This one of my favorite places to visit when I go home, so I was super happy that Louisville had one too. Honestly, I ate there when I was home last month for my grandmother’s funeral, but I was knee-deep in grief and everything I ate tasted like cardboard.
After lunch, which was YUM, we headed back to the hotel to meet favorite blog commenter Jamie. I was so happy to finally meet him, and as expected he was a plethora of information and great stories.
The rest of the evening was all about the wedding. We got dressed and headed out. I am so happy for D&L. And for me! The last wedding I attended I was pregnant, so I was happy to be able to get my party on sans fetus in my belly.
And I was happy to not be wearing maternity clothes! I loooooved my dress. It was just like me- sparkly!
CaliSlim and Rehab also looked lovely and I am not exaggerating in the least when I tell you we were stuntin on those fools walking down the streets of Louisville!
At the end of the night, however, my feet were killing me. I managed to do the tootsie roll and cupid shuffle and a bunch of other non descript dance moves, so the pain I am STILL feeling in my feet was totally worth it.

In CT, our Big Boy was Abdow’s. The family would go there 1 time a month. Good food and good times.

Too bad you all weren’t wearing those sparkly party dressess or I would have received an extra 300 man points for true. It was nice meet y’all and I can attest to the fact that in your party clothes you all were the loveliest ladies out and about on a Saturday night in the ‘Ville!
