So we’ve entered the fun part of being on the verge of pre-school. Learning! Yes, yes, I know she’s always learning. Every single day. But it is so cool to hear her randomly counting off by 5s or reciting vowels. And the little chicken scratch she calls handwriting is the cutest. I may frame her first series of 2s.
They started on sight words recently. When I asked her how to spell “UP” she proudly said, “P – U!”
Hey, I didn’t say she was a genius.
I’ve decided to reinforce the learning at home by placing sight words all over the house.
She loves it and now walks around the house pointing and spelling words. She’s so proud when she can spell door or wall. After a few weeks of this I’ll start giving her little quizzes to see if she can spell them by memory. So far she can spell her name, my name and mommy.
I’m going to savor every moment of this age, because when algebra rolls around, she’s on her own!
