Happy Saturday, everyone!  Isn’t it a great day at the beach?  Wait, you aren’t at the beach?  Well, I am!

We arrived yesterday and have been having a ball every since.  Regan was nearly jumping out of her skin with excitement yesterday morning.  She told everyone she saw that she was going to the beach.

You may recall that we came to this same house last year around this time.  I like to call it “my beach house” and seriously want to come here every year.  The house is the same- wonderful.  The beach has been extended which gives up a little more privacy, not that we’d need it.  This time of year is pretty quiet, even without the storm looming in the sea.

After we unpacked, I took the kids to the pool while my mom and aunt headed to the store.  When they came back we made drinks, danced and played at the beach (also known as our front yard).  We had burgers and corn on the cob on the grill and were in bed by 11pm.  Yep, we party hard around these parts.

This morning I woke up and went for a walk.  Totally motivated by the sleepiness of the beach town and the darkness of the morning, I managed to run for most of my walk and felt great.  It also feels great knowing that whatever I eat or drink today, at least I got my workout in.

And with that I’m going to fry some bacon and make a mimosa.
