Am I the only parent that actually hides books I don’t want to read at bedtime? I freakin hate that Brown Bear book. Regs can have it back when she starts reading.

This last week of fall weather has been magnificent. On a scale of 1 to 10, my sleep has been a 12. Let me set the scene for you: cool breeze through an open window, soft hum of the fan, high threadcount sheets and heavy blanket.

Speaking of my favorite time of year, fall tv is back. Part of me is super excited, the other part is very guarded because I know half these shows will be canceled by Christmas. I had my heart broken more than once last season- GCB and The River, anyone?

My parents are all kinds of awesome. My dad was set to come here this weekend so I could attend Dark&Lovely’s wedding, but had surgery and is slow to heal. When I mentioned to my mom that my plans had been foiled, she offered to come instead.

I really need to move closer to my parents.
I have “those” parents, too, and we live in the same neighborhood. I can walk to their house in 10 minutes. I don’t know what I’d do without them!!
And yep. My kid is 10 now but I definitely hid books from him, too. The other day he found “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie,” one of the ones I’d hide, and INSISTED that I read it to him. It was just as grueling as it was 8 years ago. Smh!
Fall tv programming has indeed started and I’m loving it. Season premiere of Castle Monday, Law & Order SVU last night and tonight…….oh my I can’t wait for Scandal!

What a blessing Grandparents are to you both. I love to see grandparents fawn all over their grandchildren. It just warms my heart
My mother is an absolute fool over her grandchildren. Just listening to her lay out her plans for things they are going to do, what she is going to cook for them, etc.
Fall TV yes..already Modern Family delivered a great first episode of the season. Can’t wait until Scandal tonight. Heard from folks on FB that SVU was also fantastic but I had to DVR that one.
I still can’t believe GCB was cancelled.
The sleeping scenarios is perfect…if only my brain would slow down enough to get to sleep.
