I’ve always wanted to attend Disney on Ice, even before I had Regan. Ice skating is one of my favorite sports to watch and, of course, I love all things Disney so I knew it would be great. Unfortunately I haven’t had the chance to take Regan until this week. I unexpectedly won tickets through The Divine Miss Mommy and I was thrilled!
On Sunday evening, Regan and I met up with SimplyB and her little darling. The girls were so excited to be seeing Mickey and the gang while ice skating, although SimplyB and I were pretty sure neither of them actually understood what ice skating was.
We made our way through the crowds of people and many booths of t-shirts, toys and other souvenirs to our suite. Yep, we were in a private suite for the event! It was so nice being able to enjoy the show without being surrounded by hundreds of excited (and germy) children. We had great views of the entire show.
The show was great! I was already impressed by Disney cast members’ ability to sing and dance in costume when I visited Disney World earlier this year, but to see them ice skating was fascinating. I really don’t know how they do it!
Regan and Sydney were thrilled to see Mickey, Minnnie, Donald and the gang. And of course (almost) all of the princess were there. When they would finish skating they would clap their hands and scream Yay!!! When the characters from Toy Story came out the crowd went wild. The girls didn’t seem too family with that movie, so it will be cool to watch it later on down the line.
The show itself was called “Let’s Celebrate!” and it was all about different celebrations. There were birthdays, Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s day. It was fun and entertaining for everyone. Regan enjoyed it so much she had a meltdown of epic proportions after we left.
But that’s another story for another day.
