Regan and I had tons of fun this weekend. And although Friday and Sunday were mostly about me, Saturday was all about the child.
We started the day at the movies. Disco Diva hipped me to a free showing of Disney’s “Secret of the Wings” which comes out on DVD later this month. Although we had been to the movies before, this was our first Disney movie. When the lights went down and the Disney theme music began to play, I may or may not have become a little emotional. A Disney movie about Tinkerbell? This was a mommy-daughter moment I had always dreamed of!
Regan enjoyed the movie, but to be perfect honest, I think she enjoyed her snacks more. The movie held her attention for a solid 40 minutes. Then she just wanted to switch back and forth between her popcorn and drink. But she did manage to stay quiet the entire time and I actually enjoyed the movie. This will definitely be added to the collection as she gets older.
Later that afternoon, after lunch, shopping and a quick nap, we headed out for some fun with Regan’s BFF. She talks about her nearly every single day, and they hadn’t seen each other in almost two months. We decided to meet for bowling, along with a third couple and their son.
We had a great time. The adults were on one lane and the kids were on the other. I really enjoy hanging out with this group of friends. We loaded up the juke box and had a total dance party in between turns of bowling.
It was a fun day that wiped both me and that baby out. Regan fell asleep in the car on the way home. It was about 7pm and that baby slept until 8am the next morning! She didn’t wake for dinner, bath, and barely moved when I changed her diaper.
Of course the next morning when she awoke she immediately began asking for Chloe again so the mommy’s are in planning mode for the next outing.

Dance parties are the best! Regan is getting so big!
