September Curl Box

After waiting for months, and missing an opportunity at the beginning of the summer, I finally got a subscription to curlBOX.  For those of you who don’t know, curlBOX is a subscription service that provides a monthly box of hair products for women with curly hair.  Products can range from samples to full-size bottles.  It’s a great way to try out new products and feed your inner product junkie cravings.

This month was my first CurlBox.  I was excited for some of the products, and just meh about the others.  I had planned on purchasing the Ouidad Humidity Gel in the future, so I was thrilled to receive a full-size bottle.  That alone is worth the cost of the subscription for the month.

So far I’ve only tried one product.  Yesterday I whipped out my Curly Hair Solutions Curl Keepers.  The product is a little thicker than water, but not quite a gel.  It didn’t have too much of a smell.  I wasn’t sure how much to use, so I just applied like I do my normal product.

The result looked great.  My curls were defined and my hair looked great.  However, and this is a big however, my hair was HARD.  It was so crunchy that if I added milk I am certain it would have snapped, crackled and popped.  Babs does not do crunchy hair, so I doubt I would use this product again.

I’ll update you later on the Humidity Gel.

Your hair is great! I’ve been happy with my curlbox. The product u used I tried before cutting my hair. Once my hair was dry I sealed it with oil (vitamin e & coconut) and I avoided the crunchy hair. 1st time I ended up with crunchy Hair. The design essentials is great & the ouidad too. That comb wi be your best friend lol
